Position Description
The primary duties of the Senior Fish Biologist include management of fisheries-related projects that include design and implementation of field studies, including fisheries assessments, fish population analyses, baseline studies, habitat improvement, instream flow and restoration. This person will also coordinate and/or be involved in efforts related to hydroelectric or other facility relicensing; as well as compliance and implementation of current license requirements. This person will also oversee advanced fisheries data analysis and provide quality assurance/quality control. Other responsibilities include; building and maintaining client relations, and participating in project development as well as contract document preparation, project management, preparation of scopes and budgets, strategic planning and mentoring/supervising junior and mid level staff.
This person will be viewed as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity.
Some travel will be required.

Strong technical writing abilities, solid statistical background, and effective presentation skills are necessary for this position.
